L'objectif M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 100-400mm F5.0-6.3 IS II d'OM System est un super-téléobjectif zoom équivalent 200-800 mm plein cadre pour les appareils photo sans miroir Micro 4/3. Son incroyable portée, associée à la qualité optimale de l'objectif, en fait un atout majeur pour la photographie sportive et animalière grâce à sa longue portée et à ses capacités de zoom pratiques. Ce super téléobjectif est doté d'améliorations significatives en matière de stabilisation de l'image et d'étanchéité.
Un téléobjectif donne l'impression que le sujet photographié est plus proche qu'il ne l'est en réalité. Cela peut être idéal pour les photographes qui ne peuvent pas s'approcher de leurs sujets en raison de contraintes physiques ou par souci de sécurité. Ces objectifs ont également une fonction artistique et sont remarquables pour créer des contrastes entre le premier plan et l'arrière-plan.
